The double flange limited expansion joint is composed of main parts, sealing rings, gland, telescopic short pipe and other main components.

On the basis of the original performance of the loose sleeve expansion joint, a limit device is added, and a double nut is used for locking at the maximum expansion. Pipeline can be free to expand in the allowable expansion, once exceeding its maximum expansion limit, to ensure the safe operation of the pipeline, especially for vibration or a certain degree of inclination and bending in the pipeline connection.

Structural composition

Double flange: Both sides are flange structures, used for flange connection with pipelines or equipment, usually in accordance with the national standard (GB), American standard (ANSI) or European standard (EN).

Telescopic tube (sleeve): A pipe section that can be axially extended and retracted, with a sealing structure (such as a rubber seal) inside.

Limiting device: The extension amount is limited by a pull rod, a limit bolt or a limit block to prevent excessive stretching or compression.

Gland and seal: Ensure that the medium does not leak, usually made of rubber (EPDM, NBR) or polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE).

Key parameters for selection

Working pressure (PN): such as PN10 and PN16, need to match the pipeline design pressure.

Temperature range: select the material according to the medium temperature (such as -20℃~120℃ for rubber seals).

Medium characteristics: corrosive media require stainless steel (304/316) or special coatings.

Displacement: axial compensation (±20mm~±60mm common), lateral displacement capacity is small.

Connection standard: flange size must comply with GB, HG/T, DIN and other standards.
